AVG 9.0 SP3 Beta has been exchanged at the Beta Program with an updated “Beta2” version that fixes most of the previously known problems.

An update has been released to our Beta Update servers together with installation packages, which are available at the Beta Portal site for download.

Our linux-development team has also ported the previous version of AVG RescueCD to utilize new AVG 9.0 core scanning engine. ‘Service Pack 1’ of RescueCD containing these changes is available for beta testing as well.

We’ve published an update to the currently tested version of AVG 9.0 and Toolbar, which complements exciting new feature “Verisign Identity Protection (VIP)” for beta testing.

VeriSign’s VIP technology brings a second-level authentication to a variety of public websites (eBay.com, PayPal) for specific regions – currently mainly supports US residents.

Integration of the VIP inside AVG’s Toolbar provides user with unique authentification tool that helps them stay secure on the supported sites.

We want you to test this new version and report back to us on product functions and issues experience. Survey is available for you to fill out throughout the test period of the VIP feature, don’t forget to complete it before the test ends!

The best reporter is going to receive a reward in form of AVG-branded USB stick as announced before!
